Concrete Calculator

Estimate concrete volume, bag count and material cost for slabs, footings and round columns.

Enter a local quote for a more useful cost estimate.

How to calculate concrete

Measure the finished dimensions of the form. NumericForge converts the volume to cubic yards, then adds the waste allowance you select. One cubic yard equals 27 cubic feet.

Common slab thicknesses

  • Walkways and patios: commonly 4 inches
  • Residential driveways: commonly 4–6 inches
  • Heavy loads: may require a thicker engineered slab

Ordering tip

Small projects may be practical with bags. Larger pours are usually easier with ready-mix delivery. Supplier minimums, delivery charges and local prices are not included unless you enter them above.

Do not rely on this tool for structural design. Footings, foundations and load-bearing work should follow local code and approved plans.
